Brrrrrrr! It's getting cold out and with the temperatures dipping down into the 30's we have been thinking a lot about cold weather safety for our pets. We recommend if any pets are outdoor during the cold weather that they be brought inside. If that is not possible, a warm shelter with access to fresh water and food is preferred. Also, we are seeing a lot more fleas recently because with the cold weather the fleas are searching for a heat source. It is important to keep our pets up to date on flea and tick control all year round. Although it does get cold, it does not get cold enough to kill the fleas and ticks in North Carolina.
